Without further ado, here are our FAQ

How many children are in each class?

There are no more than 12 children in Foundations, Level 1, Level 2 and English & Me. Because Level 3, Level 4 and Musicians include quite a bit of direct teacher/child communication, there are no more than 10 children is this class. Level 4 and Musicians also includes group conversation and creativity throughout. (Yes, in this class the kids become experts at muting and unmuting themselves!)

Do grownups participate in each class?

In Foundations, Level 1, Level 2, and English & Me, absolutely! For Level 3, Level 4 and Musicians, it depends on what your child and your family prefers. If your child enjoys the class the most when you're involved, great -- come on join us! If your child prefers to do the class independently (foreshadowing: this tends to be the case in Level 4) that's great too! Please be in the vicinity, though, in case they're encountering a Zoom issue or need something else.

Are most students local?

Negative -- most of the children who come to our virtual studio aren't local. And this is by design, as we value global diversity of thought, culture and life experience. So, students come from across Canada, the US and overseas!

How long are classes?

Each class is 30 mins long.

Are classes recorded? And are pictures/videos with the kids' faces ever shown online or elsewhere?

No classes are recorded and pictures/videos from class where kids' faces are shown aren't allowed as there are humans on the Internet who should never have access to them. We really wish things were different, but protecting the kids is top priority.

How long do classes go for?

Classes are year-round and it is totally up to you how long you stay for. If you choose to keep coming to class until the end of April for example, all you'll need to do is let us know 5 days prior to May's bill date that you won't be coming to class in May.

Are there any make up classes?

Yes! We believe that flexibility is key. If things come up, your child/family can come to an unlimited amount of make up classes while they are registered in a class at our studio. They are welcome to come to any available class in their Level or the Level below to make up. In addition, they may want to come to try the Level above their class for a bit of a challenge. That works too! On the first day of your class, you will receive an email with info on how to schedule make up classes.

What happens if I register for a virtual Kindermusik class then cannot attend?

If you sign up for an ongoing, term or one-time virtual Kindermusik class and cannot attend, your fee will be credited toward any future ongoing, term or one-time virtual Kindermusik class that's running and has spots available at our studio -- for life! This means that as long as our studio exists, your credit will be available to you. We will send you quarterly reminders about your credit too, so that you know it's available to you when you're ready to use it.

What if my card doesn't work on the day payment is due?

We understand that things happen. We will retry charging the card on file 3 times within the span of 2.5 weeks after payment is due. If all retries are unsuccessful, you will be unenrolled from class and access to home materials will be removed. From there, to come to class and access home materials, you will need to re-enroll if there's space available.
